Living in a digital age makes this possible nearly everyday.

I have shot my daughter many times as she figure skates but most recently with my D3, a pro camera but admittedly dated. This image comes from the new D800, lent to me by my friend Rod. While I miss the faster frame rate and bigger size in my hands, there is no question about the difference in image quality. This is ISO 3200 at 1/1000 and f/4. I used a 300mm and cropped in about 50 %.

I can’t wait to try playing with video.
